The Generator

The Generator is Polyglot’s new approach to artistic development, formalising the vital collaborative relationship between Polyglot and our core artists.

Through this program, we create structured opportunities for our artists to explore new ideas as key creatives and drive these ideas to fruition, bringing different models of working and diverse areas of artistic expertise into the company.

The Generator further develops the leadership and expertise of artists trained in the company’s distinctive and internationally-renowned child-led practice, driven by Artistic Director Sue Giles. The program draws upon the experience and passion of this diverse group of core artists who have worked with Polyglot for many years. Their areas of specialisation encompass performance, design, sound design and composition, musicianship, technological invention, puppetry, visual arts, teacher training, direction and collaborative practice.

The Generator supports the creation of new theatre work for children and draws the creativity of our core artists closer into Polyglot’s operations.
