How High the Sky

How High the Sky is an unforgettable theatre experience for adults and their pre-walking babies.

In a cushioned performance space, helium balloons, subdued lighting and a serene soundscape immerse babies and their adults while family and friends are seated as onlookers. Artists create evocative scenes that draw upon the senses in a dynamic, joyous and profoundly affecting experience for young and old.

How High the Sky is a theatrical event for three circles of audience – the babies, their adults and the spectators. Devised over a long workshop period with babies and adults, the performance explores the proposition ‘Is it possible for adults to experience the world as babies do?’ The performance provides both a special glimpse of a world just experienced, or one that has been recently forgotten.
